TWO WORLDS WITH

ANAA  SABER

An ode to South Asian talent and creativity in the diaspora.

The South Asian diaspora and its respective communities are changing the creative landscape day by day. Where once South Asian representation was lacking, a new wave of artists, creatives and visionaries are rewriting the book, on their own terms. South Asian contemporary design and art are transcending a modernist style stemming from rich multicultural backgrounds.

The coupling of “East-meets-West” fashion is taking a new meaning with the blending of culture into the art form. A new generation of talent is seeking the representation in media that they deserve and carving a space and a seat at the table where there once wasn’t.

With this project, I wanted to showcase how I envision my two worlds as a Pakistani-American creative, where both of my personal cultural influences blend harmoniously into my style of work. I’m grateful and humbled to bring this project to life with some of my favorite Asian creatives and to highlight and style incredible and disruptive South Asian designers and brands like Behno, Supriya Lele, Ashish, Abacaxi, Che Studios and Kulfi Beauty.  Huge thank you to the Miilkiina team for supporting and bringing this vision to life.
